If you’re here reading this article, it probably means you’ve just downloaded Snapchat for the first time and confused on how to use it. Don’t worry, you’re not alone as when I installed Snapchat for the first time, it took me time to get the hang of it too. You must be thinking that Snapchat may just be another social network, why use it?
Snapchat is not just “another” social network, it’s ” the ” social network as it possesses uniqueness as compared to other popular social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.
Self-destructing snaps: You can set a specific timer for your snap before sending it, which will make the snap self destruct (disappear) after the timer is over. Although users can take screenshots, but if they do – you will be notified.
Snapchat stories: You can add snaps to your Snapchat stories, which will be viewable for 24 hours after you upload it.
Filters: You can swap right or left after taking a Snap to apply unique filters such as speed meter, time, temperature etc or beauty effects to make your Snap look better.
Drawing: You can get creative by drawing over your selfie or video by pressing the pencil button on top right corner of your screen.
Caption: Just tap anywhere on the photo or video to add a caption (a strip of text), you can write anything and then save the snap later along with the strip of text/caption.
